Dr William Edward Glover's Photos of Nigeria during the Interwar Years
| After the war, Dr Glover appears to have returned with his wife initially back to Port Harcourt where he had started his Colonial Office career in 1913 and from their worked to support the Udi and Enugu settlements where the coal mining industry was growing rapidly. He then spent some time in Abak. From 1922 until 1924 he was posted in Ikot-Ekpene. From 1925 he was posted to Abeokuta for a year or two. From 1926 he is posted to Itu until 1929. From 1929 to May 1931 he is posted to Ibadan. From 1933/4 until 1936 he is working on the coast at Calabar. His final position from 1936 until 1939 is in Lagos as the Deputy Director of Medical Services for the Colony of Nigeria. |
