Sunday was the only day of rest and would have involved attendance at church and social or sporting activities in the afternoon. Here they seem to be relaxed perhaps waiting to play cricket from the next picture in the sequence of the album. There is also an interesting two photographs at the same location named 'the photographer' and the 'photograph' shown below.
