The 2nd Battalion The Norfolk Regiment were stationed in Aldershot in 1935 and this photo of the band in scarlet dress uniform shows that Bandmaster E C H Burgess was still there. He sits next to the commanding officer, and the adjutant sits on the other side of the percussion instruments. Next to the adjutant is the Band Sergeant wearing the special tunic as worn by Band Sgt Sharpe in the 1925 photo.
The bass drum is placed in front of the time-beater who wears a leopardskin apron. In front of the drum is a percussion set used for static performances, as well as the two kettle drums. Three of the lance corporals in the front row have medals for WW1.
