This badge is a variation on the 1829 - 1844 shako plate. The basic design is almost identical except that the figure of Britannia does not show the right arm raised and holding a laurel branch. The shield and trident are also placed differently. The other difference is the green enamel on the battle honours. This badge, 6.5ins deep, was sold at Wallis and Wallis on 1 May 1966.
