The British and Indian officers of the 18th Lancers were photographed at their camp at Tel-el-Kebir in March 1918. The Indian officers have khaki kurtas with blue kummerbands around their waist and khaki lungis. The British officers have Wolseley sun helmets and service dress tunics worn with collar and tie. The tall man seated in the middle is Lieutenant-Colonel Keighley who was in command of the depot in India until the regiment arrived in Egypt when he took over command of the regiment.
