The white waistcoat replaced the blue version in 1901 when the facing colour of the 18th Bengal Lancers was changed. The design was identical; gold gimp decorated the edges of the waistcoat with simple, evenly spaced circles and the pockets on either side were also edged, with trefoils on each end.
