Malik Ahmadyar Khan


Malik Ahmadyar KHan joined the 18th Bengal Cavalry on 1 Feb 1874. He was the son of Risaldar Fatch Khan, a Waddhal Tiwana from the village of Hadali. Fatch Khan had been with the regiment since 1859 and pensioned off in 1891. Malik Ahmadyar fought in the Afghan War of 1879-80 and became an officer on 1 May 1882 with the rank of Jemadar. He was promoted to Ressaidar on 1 May 1887 and was part of the Zhob Field Force in the autumn of 1890. He was promoted to Risaldar on 16 Aug 1897 and fought in the Tirah in 1897-98. He was appointed Risaldar-Major on 1 Dec 1903 and served until 30 June 1907. He retired with the honorary rank of captain.
