The blue facing colour also edges the neckline, and forms trefoils on his forearms. This was also seen on the uniform worn by a mounted sowar in Bremner’s photo of 1895. He has shoulder chains lined with blue cloth. A Sam Browne belt is worn over a blue kummerband with a strap over the left shoulder.
