This sabretache is part of the collection of items of uniform of Captain Oaks-Jones, an officer of the 9th Light Dragoons in the first decade of the 19th century. The cloth face of the sabretache is blue and the rest silver, apart from the crown that has gold and coloured embroidery, and red silk cushions. The lace around the edge is fine basket check with a vellum and scalloped edge.
