This sash was worn by the drum-major of the 2nd Battalion The Norfolk Regiment at some time between 1920 and 1937. It is yellow suede, edged with gold lace, with black velvet applique and elaborate embroidery in gold thread, lined with red leather. Two ornamental drumsticks are attached either side of the battle honours. There are 31 honours emblazoned on black velvet scrolls; 21 pre-WW1 honours plus ten of their WW1 honours. The cypher and crown of King George V are at the top of the design with the regimental title on black velvet. Below that is the figure of Britannia with lion surrounded by a laurel wreath.
