The undress cap worn from the early 1880s by other ranks was the glengarry with a badge on the left side. The figure of Britannia and lion on this badge differs in that a globe has been added to emphasise the world-wide stretch of the British Empire. The Garter has the regimental title EAST NORFOLK REGIMENT which changed in 1881 to The Norfolk Regiment.
