New Colours were presented to the 1st Bn Queen’s Own Highlanders at the Palace of Holyroodhouse on 21 May 1964, by the Duke of Edinburgh. The former Colours of the Seaforth Highlanders and those of the Queen’s Own Cameron Highlanders were marched off and laid up in Fort George.
