The pipes, drums and band of the Queen’s Own Highlanders perform somewhere in Scotland c1990. The bandsman in the foreground is using a hose-pipe and teapot to accompany the Post Horn Gallop. He wears no.1 dress which is a green jacket, but in other respects is similar to full dress. He has a shoulder plaid worn across the chest with a fringed end hanging from his left shoulder. His sporran is black with white tassels, worn on his kilt which, like the plaid, is in the tartan of Cameron of Erracht.
The drum major behind him has a scarlet full dress doublet which is edged with gold lace. He carries a sword from his waist-belt and is also wearing a shoulder plaid. There are drummers behind the pipers who are also wearing dress doublets.
