The last pattern shako for the infantry had this style of gilt plate on the front. The garter strap inscribed HONI SOIT QUI MAL Y PENSE with the stencilled 10 as before, but surrounded by a laurel wreath and crown. Officers were distinguished by the addition of a silver Sphinx at the base.
