It does seem unusual to see such Scottish terminology being applied to the exotic location of Central America. With its inevitable Fort St. Andrew and New Edinburgh providing familiar monikers for its settlers. Other names like Golden Island and Point Desire hint at the high ambitions and over optimism of the scheme in general.
