The scarlet jacket has a white rolled collar, shoulder straps and pointed cuffs. Small bi-metal regimental badges can be seen on each lapel with miniature medals for the Boer War. The Queen’s medal has five clasps and the King’s medal has two. There are four small regimental pattern buttons on front of the jacket and four on the scarlet waistcoat. The shoulder straps have rank badges of a crown and star indicating the rank of lieutenant-colonel.
