Lieutenant-Colonel Charlesworth is wearing full dress uniform with levee boots, pelisse and an array of medals for service in the First World War. He joined the regiment as a lieutenant in June 1906 and was promoted Captain on 19th Aug 1819 and Major on 9th June 1920. He commanded the Yorkshire Hussars from 1928 to 1932.
