
This print was advertised in the Birmingham Gazette of 26 April 1800 having been produced by the Artists Repository and Drawing Academy, 87 Steelhouse Lane, Birmingham. The wording under the print is as follows:
Warwickshire Yeomanry Cavalry
To be published by Subscription under the Sanction of the Earl of Aylesford, Colonel, Mr Legge, Lieut.-Col., S. Adams, Major, and E. Shirley, and the other officers and 200 of the Regiment; also Lord Brook, Colonel of the Loyal Birmingham Association and others.
A Print in Colours
From a Drawing by E Rudge, Painter and Drawing Master, representing a front and back view of the Warwickshire Yeomanry in full uniform, and Berwood Heath, the Drill Ground. Size 20 by 16 inches.
There are various versions of this print showing different colour turbans on the helmet ranging from darkish to medium blue through green to yellow. The collars and cuffs also range from blue to green. The jackets, however, are consistently light grey-blue.
