Captain M H K Pechell


Captain Mark Pechell was killed at Talana, South Africa, on 20th Oct 1899. He had been offered secondment to the Egyptian Army but chose to go the Boer War with the 3rd Battalion KRRC. His brother, Charles Pechell was killed eleven days later at Mafeking. He was also a captain in the KRRC, but in the 1st Battalion.
