In Canada

This watercolour by Sir James Archibald Hope was published in the Journal of the Society for Army Historical Research Vol XXIII no. 95 in 1945. It shows a corporal and a sergeant of the Grenadier Guards in autumn kit. They wear the red coatee normally worn in full dress and a medal can be seen on the sergeant's chest. Their forage caps are covered with a fur protector and the corporal has makeshift puttees. The wagon in the middle appears to be carrying ammunition.
