This colour photo from a Bosley catalogue shows the officer’s kurta of the 2nd Bengal Lancers with a single star rank badge for 2nd lieutenant. The sleeve decoration is not so clear but the Bengal knots can be seen to extend up the arm. The gold lace is more defined, being Broken Bias pattern, and the pouch-belt and waist-belt are both correct for this regiment. The two pleated breast pockets have small gilt buttons.
