Officer’s Button

This close up detail taken from the WorthPoint website shows a button near the shoulder of a British officer’s tunic. The design has four lances, a distinction of the later badge of the 2nd Bengal Lancers. The small button on the gold shoulder cord is unlikely to be of regimental pattern.
