Sir Charles Orr's Memoirs Volume 1

Bara Gali

Bara Gali was one of a number of small cantonments that were occupied in the hot summer months by mountain batteries which were stationed at Rawalpindi in the winter. Bara Gali was completely built by and for the British Indian Army. This postcard is from the early 1900s not that long after Charles Orr was present.
