The round badge has the title LIVERPOOL which was used in the name of the regiment after 1881. The horse is in silver on a red backing. This was the centre of the universal star plate on the blue home service helmet. The two collar badges beneath this have the title THE KINGS with inwards facing silver horses. These were worn in dress uniform.
