British Empire Title

The King's (Liverpool Regiment) (8th Foot)

Other Ranks’ Belt Plate c1800

Brass shoulder-belt plate worn by the rank and file. NCOs would have had a better quality plate and officers had a similar design but with a crimson velvet centre and the horse in silver. Portraits of officers in the 1780s and 90s show them wearing an oval gilt plate.
