This pattern of sabretache remained practically unchanged for the next 30 years, apart from the royal cypher. The GR cypher for King George IV conforms to other known embroidered items of this period. The Guelphic crown was retained for the next 30 years, and the WATERLOO battle honour was placed directly below the cypher. The surrounding area was almost filled by an oak-leaf wreath although there are gaps towards the base of the sabretache. The lace around the border is named as Fine or Basket Check and Vellum. This pattern was later used for the pouch-belt and waist-belt as well as the sabretache.
