The trumpeter in review order wears a scarlet tunic with blue velvet facings and yellow cord edging to his collar and shoulder straps. He has no collar badges, although the double-headed eagle badge was issued in 1898 for collars, and also for the right sleeve of NCOs. He has a crossed trumpet badge in yellow embroidery on his upper right arm. On his left shoulder are yellow aiguillettes; and tassels can be seen on his right shoulder which decorate the trumpet and bugle. These cords and tassels are of the royal colours; blue, yellow and red. He holds the bugle, and his trumpet is tucked under his arm. The white plume on his helmet was worn by the band and trumpeters.
