The print by William Heath produced c1821 shows a trumpeter in the background. It is sketchily drawn and not properly coloured. The coat should be red and the trousers grey with a red stripe. The men had yellow lace, and although the 1811 Order states that trumpeters should be distinguished by their lace, we cannot say for certain as there is no known example of a trumpeter’s coat of that period.
