The top left waist-belt plate is from the latter period of George III’s reign, around the time of Waterloo. The two plates on the right are Victorian but of differing sizes. The lower one was worn from 1837 to c1845 and the smaller one worn from 1856 until 1901 when the waist-belt was narrower and worn over the tunic. From 1845 to 1855 the waist-belt was worn under a gold and crimson sash and had a different clasp. The lower left plate is for the reign of Edward VII 1901 -1910. These plates were universal for the dragoon guards.
