Officer’s Gilt Collar Badges 1896

Officers of the KDG in undress wore the blue frock with a stand collar fastened at the neck. These gilt Austrian eagle badges were worn on either side. They differ from some of the other eagle badges in that they include the collar of the Order of the Golden Fleece which surrounds the central shield.
