This gilt star badge has KDG in the centre of the royal garter, and WATERLOO on a scroll. The crown above the garter is Hanoverian which dates it before 1837 when Victoria acceded to the throne. A Spooner print of an officer of the regiment shows an undress sabretache with a badge somewhat similar in design.
