This drawing of ‘The Battell of Agrim’ was made by the Dutch artist Jan Wyck based on observation. The cavalry can be seen advancing on the right of the picture to attack the Jacobite left. The Castle of Aughrim is on the skyline where the slope of the hill is marked ‘Agrim’. The figures on the left foreground are the Dutch General De Ginkel and his staff.
