Cap Badge, King’s Crown

This blackened brass version of the East Surreys cap badge was intended to be worn with khaki service dress so as not to attract enemy fire, but it has been polished up to reveal the shiny brass. The King’s crown was adopted in 1902 and lasted through the reign of all the kings until 1952.
