The bugle band and Corp of Drums of the 1st Battalion wear tropical khaki kit with drummers’ shoulder wings. The Wolseley helmets have a regimental flash on the left side, red, white and black. The drum major has a white and gold sash on his left shoulder and a crimson Warrant Officer’s sash on his right shoulder. He has white gauntlets and his shoulder wings are laced with gold. He has a sword slung from his white leather waist-belt. The drummers and buglers have brown leather waist-belts. the buglers having white pouches, one for sheet music and another to keep the fife. As the caption says, the battalion were using sterling silver drums, eight side drums, two tenor drums and a bass drum.
