The Hampshire Carabiniers mounted up and ready, some time in 1914 -15. The officer is out in front, without a leather ammunition bandolier. All have swords drawn except the Squadron Sergeant Major at the back, on the left of the photo. This is an odd mixture of 20th century uniforms with 19th century military display.
