This illustration of the Guidon presented to the regiment in 1909 is probably correct, whereas the cigarette card version has mistakes. The roses in two corners are Tudor roses, which combine the red and white roses of York and Lancaster. In the other corners are the white rose of Hampshire. The guidon was the work of the Royal School of Art Needlework, London and commissioned by Colonel Jack Seely.
