The drum banners used in the 1890s and 1900s were well designed and a source of regimental pride. The crown is Victorian and was retained after her death in 1901. The simplified crossed carbines surmount a red and white Tudor Rose. The union wreath of roses, thistles and shamrocks surround the whole and the blue banner is edged with the same pattern gold and white lace as worn on the officers' pouch-belts.
