These two young trumpeters are in the dress uniform issued in 1909. The tunics and trousers are blue. The collar, cuffs and trouser stripes are white. The cuffs have yellow cord Austrian knots which appear black in this photo. The waist-belt is a blue and white striped girdle.They both have a trumpet hanging on their back and they hold bugles. Both instruments are strung and tasseled with royal coloured cords of blue, yellow and red. On their left shoulders are white aiguillettes and they have embroidered crossed bugle badges on their right sleeve.
They look too young to be expert horsemen so it is unclear if they would be included in a mounted parade wearing boots, breeches and plumed helmets. These boys are named as Mansbridge and Dawkins.
