
The collar of the 1909 dress uniform had bimetal badges, smaller than the brass cap badge worn on the front of the 1907 forage cap. The white edged shoulder straps had brass titles HANTS CARABINIERS with a T in the middle to indicate their designation in the Territorial Army which was inaugurated in 1908 so that they were no longer Imperial Yeomanry. The pattern on the brass regimental button was the rose with HAMPSHIRE above and CARABINIERS below.
