The Navy & Army Illustrated published a photo of a group of yeomanry senior NCOs of which this detail shows the dress uniform of the Hampshire Carabiniers. The TSM holds his white metal helmet which has the recently added white plume introduced to the regiment in 1894. His jacket is decorated with silver cord and lace, and has the metal sergeant’s arm badge of a silver rose above the chevrons and just below the embroidered crown.
