This is the silver badge worn by Brigadier-General Meiklejohn. The lowest scroll bears the name of the regiment: 20th PUNJAB INFANTRY. Just above the centre of this is a small ring standing out from the badge through which the chains go as demonstrated by Meiklejohn.
