Worn on the Waterloo shako by bandsmen. The star of the Order of the Thistle is superimposed on band instruments. At the top is a 'Jingling Johnny'. At the bottom is the Sphinx of Egypt on foliage representing the union. This drawing featured in the Journal of the Society for Army Historical Research vol. XXIX.
