This officer is captioned in 'The Armies of India' as being Tanaoli, a Punjabi Musalman. It is based on Subadar Kalander Khan of the 91st (see Subadar photo 1909). He wears service dress and his turban is khaki with a gold kullah and red end with gold fringe.
