9th Lancers


Officer’s Pouch c1820


The pouch and pouch-belt worn by the 9th Lancers retained the light dragoon style. The front flap of the pouch is of hall-marked silver with a decorated edge of foliate engraving. The royal G R reverse cypher and crown of King George IV are in gilt. The pouch itself is black leather. It was worn with a belt of morocco leather covered in Herringbone pattern gold lace with a central crimson stripe. The pickers and chains were silver.
