British Empire Title

9th Lancers

Mounted Officer, Undress 1874

The officer is unnamed but poses on his charger wearing regimental stable dress. The jacket is blue with scarlet facings and gold lace. He has no rank badges as he is below field rank. His belts are all gold laced, as in dress uniform, including the slings that support his straight sword and plain black leather sabretache. The saddle is uncovered so that the pistol holsters at the front can be seen, and the high cantle at the back.
