This well-preserved light dragoon helmet, sometimes called a Tarleton, is clearly marked as belonging to the 9th Light Dragoons, on a silver strip above the peak. The badge is the Union spray of Thistle, Rose and Shamrock on the right side of the leather skull. The silk turban is black, held in place by silver chains. On the left side of the helmet is a white over red plume.
