Henry Lechmere Worrell was a lieutenant in the 1st BLC from 7 March 1822. Promoted to captain on 26 June 1826. The Remarks column of the 1829 Army List for the 1st BLC mentions ‘Pay Department’. He was 2nd in command of the 1st BLC with the rank of major, dated 12 Jan 1834. He was appointed commanding officer of the 4th Regiment on 12 Nov 1838.
