This print by Simkin gives an idea of how the 1st Bombay Lancers looked on campaign in Burma 1886 to 1887. They are in marching order, as revealed by the equipment on the horses, and the knapsack slung from the right shoulder. The two men in the foreground are NCOs and the mounted men are on picquet duty.
