This photo was reproduced in The Armies of India by Donovan Jackson in 1940. It shows the same guidon produced for the 2nd Lancers in 1928 but altered to accommodate the change of title in 1935, to 2nd Royal Lancers (Gardner’s Horse). The circle with the title is inserted within the oak-leaf wreath and has the lion passant regardant inside.
