Officer’s Undress Jacket 1850

The French grey undress jacket worn by officers was edged with silver lace and decorated down the front with small closely placed ball buttons. The lower edge of the collar had a silver gimp edge. A broken bias lace pattern can be seen on the cuff detail. The two silver buttons on the cuff have 1 in the middle with CABOOL below and LESWAREE above. As the battle honour for Kabul was awarded in 1842 the jacket dates after that.
